The Fallas, an amazing spectacle of art and fire in Valencia

The city of Valencia welcomes the spring with the Fallas. The week of the 19th of March, gigantic figures (ninots) made from carton invade the streets, they are true works of art and creativity, the preparation of which have been going on for the whole year. They are caricatures and satiric representations that, with a great sense of humour, criticise current politics, famous people and events that have been relevant through the year.

Valencia is transformed for the celebration of the Fallas, for a few days, the streets are filled with gigantic figures, true works of art, which compete in ingenuity and creativity. They have been made during months just to be enveloped in flames in a fascinating and incredible spectacle of light, music and fireworks. During this week, the streets are full of fun and imagination.

This is the most international festival of Valencia !!!
