This enchanting self catering cottage is situated on our family beef and sheep farm in the heart of Powys Mid Wales. It's set in its own grounds well away from the farm with well-maintained gardens and 3 lawned areas for guests use with ample private parking. It also offers total peace and quite yet it is only 1 mile from the local village of Llanyre, which has an outstanding public house with locally sourced beautiful food. You will also find a children’s play area here in Llanyre and the old Church and churchyard can't be missed. Llandrindod Wells is only a short 3 mile drive from this self catering accommodation and has all the facilities needed for a lovely refreshing and relaxing break in the countryside.
Gwynfan is a great place to relax and unwind and a perfect base from which to explore central Wales. The Brecon Beacons are to the South, Snowdonia to the North and the beautiful coastal town of Aberyswyth to the West. All are within a days trip away.
Gwynfan has panoramic views stretching right towards the Radnorshire forests and Brecon Beacons in the distance. There are lots of wonderful walks, peaceful lanes to cycle and many mountain biking tracks. This area is a bird watchers paradise with red kites filling the skies, nature reserves, pony trekking and fishing are all on the doorstep. This self catering cottage is a 30 minute drive to many wonderful villages and small towns naming just a few Builth Wellls, Hay-on-Wye, Llanidloes, Knighton, Kington and Newtown.
Description of Interior
Within this self catering cottage here in mid wales are 3 roomy bedrooms (2 double and one twin bedroom) sleeping 6 people. A cot is available and can be placed in any of the 3 bedrooms. Beds are made up prior to guest arrival. Towels and hairdryer provided. Each bedroom has fitted carpet, huge walkin wardrobes, dressing table and 2 bedside cabinets. The bathrom with this self catering property is extemely roomy - big enough for a wheel chair. Has a newly fitted vinyl flooring, full size bath with handles and a separate show unit (small step to enter shower unit). There is a second toilet within the garage. The kitchen/diner within this self catering accommodation is large and roomy. Well equipped with fridge, microwave, electric oven/grill, ceramic hob, washing machine, dumble dryer, iron and ironing board. Table to seat 6 people + highchair. The huge lounge is light, comfortable and warm with seating for upto 9 people. Bay window has outstanding views over the welsh countryside. New Freeview TV, DVD, video, books and games are for you enjoyment. A large garage is joined to the bungalow which has plenty of space to keep your prams, wheelchair, bikes and even motor bikes. You will also find the deep freeze, tumble dryer, recycling bins, BBQ and plenty of hooks for dirty/wet coats.
Garden and Exterior
This self catering accommodation has 3 lawned areas for full guest use. Two areas of garden and a patio area, part of which is under a shaded area. Plenty of outdoor seating is fully available for guest use as is a BBQ for those summer evenings. Ample private car parking is available for upto 4 cars and more if need be.
