Summary
“LES GITES FLEURIS” are 2 traditional Stone Farmhouses (18th c) with a tranquil valley view. Your fully equipped rental house is located on a quiet semi-private single lane road, nestled amongst the idyllic countryside, in a hamlet of 18th century stone Perigordian farmhouses. The Pool, Jacuzzi, and sundeck are in the tranquil orchard, surrounded by grass, trees and flowers. Only 2 km from the dramatic Chateau de Hautefort! All services are within walking distance: Medical center with English speaking doctor, 1 km to boulangerie, large supermarket grocery store, and bank. 2 km to tabac, post office, and the office of tourism. 2.5km to a swimming lake. Winter vacations can be spent relaxing in front of a cozy fire, and central heat!
La Petite Rose is a charming restored traditional 18th c. stone 1 bedroom home with a fully equipped kitchen, bathroom, living room with big fireplace, TV with DVD player, wireless internet access, and CD player.
Les Gites Fleuris is family friendly with pool, jacuzzi, acreage, children's play area with swings, climbing wall, raised fort, slide, and volley/badminton net. There is an indoor games room with games, toys, ping pong, etc...and a central laundry room with washer and dryer and free WiFi.
A wonderful Place to relax after site seeing! And HAUTEFORT is perfectly located to explore the Dordogne Region! The most amazing sites are within a 1hour radius!
Dordogne has something for everyone! 1001 Castles, CroMagnon Caves, Medieval Villages, Open air Markets, Roman ruins, etc.... This area has so much history that it is sure to capture the imaginations and interests of everyone in the family!
ahhh the Food! Parisians say “you’ll eat well in the Perigord”! This little corner of Southwest France is home to the black truffle, one of the most famous and expensive luxury foods of France. (Truffle Markets are open in Winter!) It is also the land of foie gras-- that typical French delicacy made from fattened goose or duck liver, along with other Canard specialty dishes. Our guests have often said that the best meal they ate in the Perigord was here, in Hautefort! The wine regions of Bergerac and Bordeaux are only 1-1.5 hr away!
Description of Interior
La Petite Rose house looks like stone fairytale cottage. It has the bedroom up 3 stairs with large windows that overlook the gardens. The bathroom is ensuite to the bedroom. The livingroom has a large fireplace that is a cozy place to curl up and enjoy TV, DVD (there is a large collection on offer), or read a book. The salon has a clic-clac sofa bed that can sleep 2 children. This house combines centuries old French charm with modern comforts.
