We have had some very nice and very well equipped villas before but Quinta Quince is the first villa I could envisage myself living in all the year round and really felt it was a proper home."

"What a beautifully furnished villa. The quality of the soft furnishings, linen, beds etc. are second to none. The villa is furnished more like a home with top quality furnishings, pictures, ornaments and lamps which you don't normally get in a holiday rental. The kitchen is well equipped with a fabulous cooker and the nayas and outside space are top quality. All rooms are well proportioned and bedrooms are all a good size. The upstairs suite and the master suite in the main property are particularly spacious."

"We were a 3 generation party, with my elderly mother, my husband and 3 young people aged 21, 17 and 16 years old. All of us had a fabulous time and spent more time in the property than we would normally. There are very good restaurants locally and we were provided with a list which proved to be very useful. We didn't walk to the port, it is walkable but you would need to be fit due to the steep hill. I would recommend the property without hesitation and may well plan a re-visit, which we wouldn't normally do."

Our home is a typical old Spanish villa with arches, handmade tile floors, two covered nayas and valenciano beamed ceilings throughout. Built in 1970, it has been totally refurbished by the second generation owner.....and is much more of a luxury home than it is a "Holiday Home". It is selectively rented only a few times when not used by the owners.

The villa is described as Cordoban in style. It includes morning and afternoon nayas, a huge terrace, pool area, spa, summer kitchen, large paved parking area and maintained gardens of flowers, herbs and fruit trees. Pick you own almonds, lemons, limes, grapefruit, oranges and nisporo's.

This private villa is situated on the hillside above the Javea Port and the Yacht Club in the exclusive Cuesta San Antonio urbanization closest to the sea. Our home is on a very private, fenced and walled plot with access to the road via automatic gate. The road allows travel down to the port or up to the National Montgo Park above. Either direction is a great walk and need to be in shape to enjoy these walks! A car is usually advised.

The villa also has a automated security system.

The Villa layout is generally flat with few very steps compared to most hillside homes in the area. Three bedrooms are on the main level and the optional "Parador Suite" is on the upper level, all can be air conditioned. Our plot is mature with lovely landscaping, brick pavings, citrus trees, herb garden and flower gardens.

The pool is located on the same level and is accessed from both the dining room/mountainside naya and the master bedroom. The pool can be heated as is the adjacent spa, at renters cost using our energy efficient heat pump system. The awesome multi-colored pool lighting is great at night. The pool terrace includes two large sitting areas, Bar-B-Que, outdoor toilet, pool shower, summer kitchen, wood fired oven and the covered naya off the Dining Room which has an outdoor fireplace.

The morning naya faces the southeast for sunrises over javea bay. The afternoon naya faces southwest for sunsets and panoramic views over the town of Javea and the mountain ranges beyond.

Quinta Quince is 5 minutes from the Port, Town, or Arenal (sand beach), for shopping, supermarkets, restaurants and nightlife. The Villa is a 5 minutes drive from the Cabo San Antonio Lighthouse above. The Gravas Beach, Port Restaurants and Tapa Bars are within walking distance (down the hill!)

Guest information on the area is provided for reference as there are lots of things to do in the area.

Further Details.....

A car is essential. While you can walk down the hill to the port, you need to be in good shape to go further. Bikes can be rented in the Port.

The villa is not suitable for very small children as the pool area is part of the overall house plan.

Energy Costs:

Pool and spa are only heated upon request and clients are responsible for their own electrical costs.
Clients are also responsible for costs associated with Air Conditioning and/or Heating if used.
Electricity is metered and charged at completion of your rental period. An electrical deposit charge will be estimated and charged prior to your rental.

Some basic cleaning supplies are provided, and a portable vacuum.
Weekly general cleaning service can be arranged for beyond one week's stay.
Pool is cleaned weekly and chlorinated for disinfecting. Garden is also maintained weekly.
Iron and board. Clothes washer and outside clothesline provided.

Smoking is allowed but only outside, please!


Minimum booking is for one week although we prefer bookings of at least two weeks. Eight people is the maximum for this property and no more than 8 will be allowed under any circumstances. There is an option to book the villa for 6 or less people as the top room can be a lockout...ask for lower rates.


Description of Interior

Living Areas:

The dining room has a beautiful view of Javea's old town and valley with mountain ranges behind. The western wall of the dining room is comprised of two huge sliding glass doors that access the naya so the view is fantastic. There is a built-in masonry fireplace (outside) next to dining room in the mountain view naya.

The living room has a masonary stone wall and valenciano ceilings accented by antique wooden beams. It is equipped with a wood stove fireplace, flat screen TV, DVD, and Stereo/CD player. Leather furniture and wool area rugs accent the room.

The kitchen is brightly tiled with pantry and fitted with granite countertops, gourmet AGA stove/hob, large fridge with freezer, dishwasher and microwave. There is good kitchen equipment, beverage glasses and commercial dish selection for the chef and hostess. Icemaker in fridge.

There are three newly tiled bathrooms all with showers. There is one private bathroom (shower) accessed directly from the master bedroom and a second private bathroom in the upper Parador Suite.

Central heat is available in the living areas for use cooler months and bedrooms are air conditioned in the summer (at renters cost).

Some books and games are provided for guest use.


Quinta Quince sleeps up to 6/8, with multiple bedding options. It can be rented with 3 or 4 bedrooms including: three with Queen beds, and one with twin single beds. Screens on bedroom windows, and some dark curtains if you want to sleep!


Garden and Exterior

All furnishings are high quality. There is a outdoor dining table and chairs for outdoor use on each naya.

The gardens around the house are well maintained and beautiful!

There is ample private parking in our brick paved carpark area. The entire plot is surrounded by walls and fencing.

The secluded pool has patio areas, great tiled pool with panoramic views. Pool area is partially walled and the large decking area is non slip tile. Pool/patio furnished with loungers, chairs and table. The pool is 10 meters long with steps at one end and ladder at the other. An adjacent spa is a special treat.

We have not had unhappy customers.....people love the place ! Our informational website rentavilla-spain has loads of information on Jávea and the area (link supplied on request). We are happy to answer any questions about the villa and the surrounding areas. Jávea is the gem of the Costa Blanca. It's set high above the port of Jávea with pool, BBQ, spa and dining areas (open and covered) and in a quiet high-class residential area with little passing traffic. Easy access (800m) to shops, beaches, sporting facilities and restaurants (listing provided - we have 6-7 Michelin star restaurants in the area) provides the ideal peaceful holiday location. We are ideally placed for golf, the nearest course, Jávea GC is less than 10 minutes away. This 9-hole course, which is more difficult than it looks, has superb views of the 'landmark' mountain, Montgó, dominating Jávea. Towards Denia about 15 minutes away is La Sella GC, a beautiful 18-hole course. Further afield about 30 minutes away is a new course at Oliva (designed by Seve Ballesteros). Also just south of Valencia the famous championship links course of El Saler. The theme park Terra Mitica is within easy motoring distance (a short hop down the AP7 motorway) as are the excellent Aqualandia and MundoMar (dolphins) outside Benidorm. The fabulous new Science & Oceanographic parks (5000 different fish) at Valencia make a spectacular day's outing.
