Summary

The house was a barn and it had been fully restored in 2006 following the tradition of rural Tuscany. We, wife and husband, live in a nearby farmhouse in a farmhouse on the same property and we can give advice regarding places to visit.
The location is perfect to experience the Tuscan life as San Casciano is not crowded with tourists but yet it is close to Florence so you can take a bus to reach it. We had many guests who enjoyed their Tuscan holidays without a car.

 

Description of Interior

The small villa for rent has got all the appliances you will need. The kitchen is equipped (fridge/freezer, oven, washing machine, American coffee maker, toaster etc.).

Two bedrooms with separate air conditioning system, one with double bed and another with two twin beds that can be joined if you need. Living room has got radio CD player, satellite TV.

The house has its own broadband Internet access with a ethernet+WI-FI router.

 

Garden and Exterior

A big terrace is just outside the house, so you can have breakfast under a gazebo. The view dominates the Tuscan countryside. There are no houses on front, while there are on the back of the house as we're very close to village centre. That's an advantage so you don't have to get a car to go shopping or dining.

The house is located in the small town of San Casciano in Val di Pesa. A big supermarket is 400 metres away. There are many shops, bars and good places where you can buy food or sit down and eat (restaurants, pizzerias, trattorie).

Florence historic centre can be reached using SITA buses in about half an hour. The coach station is 650 metres away from the rented house.
