Summary

Sitting one road back from Eastbourne's popular seafront George's is the ideal base for exploring all the town has to offer, just minutes from the beach, town centre, restaurants and attractions. Eastbourne is an award winning seaside town nestled at the foot of the South Downs and has been crowned the sunniest spot in the country.

Having been recently refurbished and extended the gorgeous Victorian terraced house combines some elegant original features with contemporary modern style, perfect for groups and extended families, as it sleeps up to 10 adults plus 2 children 2-12 years on a sofa bed and 2 babies up to 2 years in travel cots.

The house was originally a bed and breakfast style guest house back in the 1960's, it is arranged over 6 split level floors. There are 4 bedrooms in total, 3 are together on one floor and one on the floor above in the loft. The games room makes another double or twin bedroom in the basement.

Family bedroom has a kingsize bed, a pull out sofa bed (sleeps 2 children) and an ensuite shower room with toilet.
There is a twin room (with 2 single beds) and 2 other double rooms (with double beds). There is a family bathroom in the loft and a family shower room down near the kitchen, a further toilet is on the floor with the majority of bedrooms and the ensuite in the family room.

There is a large fully equipped kitchen diner with all mod cons – range cooker, dishwasher, American fridge freezer. There is enough cutlery, crockery and utensils for everyone with dining seats for 12 guests plus 2 highchairs for little ones.

The games room has table football, board games, toys and a games console, so along with the free WiFi even the most hard to please children will be entertained.

We have a utility room with washing machine, tumble dryer, ironing board, etc.

There is a large lounge with curved screen tv for better viewing, sky sports and movie channels, a selection of books and dvds for those wanting to relax and unwind. It also has an adults games area with poker, roulette, chess, backgammon etc.

The sun trap courtyard garden is perfect for alfresco dining, with table and enough seating for 12.
Well behaved dogs are welcome. We have bowls available for them to use.

Towels and linen are provided along with some welcome provisions.

On street parking with no restrictions is available for free on the roads around the house.
The town centre has some lovely restaurants and a whole host of different shops from small independent boutiques to large department stores. If you are looking for some culture there is the very contemporary Towner art gallery, four theatres plus the interesting Redoubt Fortress and the Bandstand which have events running all year round. If active pursuits are more your thing you cannot beat this area for walking, cycling and watersports, again there are numerous sporting events that take place throughout the year. (details can be found in welcome pack and leaflets in the house) If there is not enough to keep you occupied in the town then the bustling bright lights of Brighton and historic Hastings are both only 30 minutes away.

Local Area

Being so close to the seafront means there is a whole host of attractions and amenities very close by. The Pavillion is a stylish café offering afternoon teas, light lunches and a hot or cold beverage. It is also home of the new free exhibition 'Living On The Edge' open Mar-Nov 2017. Treasure Island is a short walk away offering a pirate themed adventure park with both indoor & outdoor attractions including adventure mini golf open til late in the summer.

There are numerous hotels closeby which offer meals to non residents. The Langham for afternoon tea or a Sunday roast is a particular favourite.
